The Coast on Harman Red 125
Based on Harmans Phoenix 200 film but without the anti-halation layer, it's made so that light goes through the film base and hits the red-sensitive layer first, which is what gives it that fiery, glowing look.
New Forest with the Rollei B35 and flash
This is my first foray into using any sort of flash, after 12 years of photography it’s about time ey. Oh boy do I love the effect, especially on the fungi.
Autumn with the Canon Fisheye Zoom Lens 8-15mm
A couple of weekends ago I organised an analogue photowalk at the Tall Trees Trail, here in the New Forest. I’ve shot here on digital before with a fisheye lens but not on film - here’s how I got on.
Lepe Beach on Pro Image 100 with the Olympus MJU II Zoom 80
While clearing out her late father’s possessions, Tanya came across an Olympus MJU II (Zoom 80 version). She tried it out, but the images came out with lots of light leaks. She blamed the camera and the piece of sellotape holding the cracked shutter button together. Sound guesswork.
Winterton Beach on Kodak Gold 200
The images here were taken with my much under-used Rollei 35B and a roll of Kodak Gold 200. I’ve been mainly shooting experimental films recently and these remind me just how lovely a simple color film can be.

AGFA Optima 200 Professional (expired 1995)
This roll of AGFA Optima 200 Professional expired 19 years ago and goodness knows how it’s been stored.
Pig Bush on Rollei RPX 400
I’ve learnt so far this year, during shooting a roll of film a day, that it’s ok to just randomly shoot a roll of film with no expectations. It’s involved me having to rethink how I take photos and it’s led to some unexpected nice surprises along the way.
Exbury on Ilford HP5 Plus
There’s a footpath that I love in the Exbury area. One that’s shrouded by green boughs and hedgerows in Spring, with bluebells galore. A lesser known spot that only a handful of locals use.
Lymington Sea Wall on York Photo Labs DXG 200 (expired 1989)
This roll of York Photo Labs DXG 200 35mm film expired 35 years ago and goodness knows how it’s been stored…
Bramshaw on Lomography Potsdam 100
I’ve shot so much 35mm recently and whilst I love it I needed a break from alllll the scanning in, so switched to 120 film today and my trusty Lubitel 2.
Lymington Sea Wall on RETO Amber D100
As the sun was out I took a punt and loaded up the Canon EOS 3 with a roll of new-to-me film, RETO Amber D100.
Family on Polaroid Color Frames
We made the long drive to Gloucester today for a family meal to say goodbye to my eldest son, Tom, who is moving to Poland in the coming weeks.
