First rolls shot with the Zeiss Ikon Nettar

He even showed me his test roll - images looked sharp! So I took the camera out a couple of times of the weekend and loved using it. Now the images are back and everything’s a bit blurry, I’m not sure where I’ve gone wrong. Hmmm. However I am loving this effect so I’m now not sure that I want to work out where I’m going wrong. The joys of film, always surprising you when you least expect it.

A couple of months ago, I was grumbling about how I wished there were a medium-format film camera that felt like a point-and-shoot, but without the super pricey Fujifilm GA645. A week later, Bruce gifted me the Zeiss Ikon Nettar. I’m no stranger to old folding bellows cameras but have found them a bit of a kerfuffle to open and close.

This one is simple; it springs open and into action, nice.

I’ll try again and persevere - but I wan’t get too despondent as I also love the slight fever dream vibe these give!
