Hello there, and thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet.

My name's Annie. A passionate film and digital photographer, I’m based in the beautiful New Forest in southern England. Content Management Lead at Unsplash, part of the Getty Images family, I spend my life looking at and producing images.

When I'm not working, I take photos with both digital and film cameras. I have a real soft spot for film, especially experimental film and vintage photography.

When I first dipped my toes into photography, I sought advice from my peers. The response I received wasn't encouraging, either as a new photographer or as a woman. 'Advice' varied from "if you don't learn film photography first you'll never be a proper photographer" and "you can't call yourself a photographer unless you first shoot in black and white" to "just because you take photos it doesn't make you a photographer". At the time, I felt discouraged, but ultimately defiant.

I've been taking photos and sharing them on Unsplash for over a decade because, like one of my wonderful teammates, Bruno, said, I believe that when you share with others, you directly enrich other people's lives. I love capturing things I see that others might enjoy and use.

My images have been viewed almost 16 billion times on Unsplash alone, and downloaded nearly a billion times. It always staggers me that so many people have shared those moments with me.
