Pig Bush on Kodak Tri-X 400

Today I shot a test roll in a new-to-me camera, the Lubitel 166. A plastic ‘cheaper’ alternative to the classic Lubitel, the camera was made by Lomo from 1980 onwards.

I certainly had a lot less faith in this camera than its metal counterpart - but was I just being a camera snob? Well I found focusing much more of as struggle than the Lubitel 2, but otherwise it felt pretty familiar. I really don’t like that there’s one flimsy clip keeping the back of the camera shut though.

I believe the strange line on the film was from me not using enough developer in the tank - I wondered if using less and agitating infrequently might create some sort of effect - well it was a test roll from the start, only seemed fitting to carry that through to the developing!

It was a bitterly cold morning at local favourite morning walking haunt, Pig Bush. At -2 degrees I didn’t want to spend too much time squatting in the frosty ferns taking photos!
