I've given myself the mini-challenge of getting the photos from our recent Iceland visit published before I head off-the-blog on Friday for the festive period. It seemed really achievable until I realized just how many photos I took.
We visited Skógafoss waterfall on a day out in the hire car from our base in Reykjavik, combining it with a few other good places to visit in the area (I'll get a post up with the route we took and what we saw soon).
The colours were just so vibrant, the sun streamed out from behind grey clouds (if you want to see a comparision we drive 5 minutes to the Sólheimasandur Plane Crash site afterwards and the light completely changed back to grey). The steps you can climb to the top of the waterfall give you outstanding views, both looking down on the waterfall and also across to the two glaciers in the surrounding area.
Do you like my snug looking cardigan? It's from Saltrock and it's perfect for colder weather, kept me super snug whilst we were in Iceland!
