A couple of weeks ago I popped along for the first time to Sir Harold Hillier Gardens at nearby Romsey. I fell completely in love with the gardens and my thoughtful family bought me an annual membership for Mother's Day so I'll be visiting a lot more from now on. The gardens already looks great, I cannot wait to see what Summer brings. Here's some of my favourite parts from my first visit.
Although I visited alone it struck me how much Kitty and Ozzy would enjoy visiting too. The bog garden area with it's wooden walkways and platform, the weavings and little bridge and countless perfect picnic spots make these gardens fun for children. Definitely on our Easter holidays days out list.
Blossom on the trees was the prefect sign of Spring but the real show-stealer for me was the huge variety of camellias - pink sunshine!
And on the way out, a final burst of colour from the gardens shop...
