Gardens in August (hdygg 120)

Annie Spratt September 3, 2015

Ahhh goodbye August, hello September *panics and makes a new badge pronto*. This week I'm sharing photos from a trip to Mottisfont with Baking Betsy and kiddos and a few from a jaunt to Exbury Gardens with Kitty yesterday. There's still some big, bold colours to be seen despite the appearance of fungi and a few orange Autumn leaves.

I'm in much need of cheering up today with garden goodness as Kitty didn't take the move from Infant to Primary well and there were tears at the school gate this morning. The poor thing. Still, I am glad that we had some mummy - daughter time at Exbury yesterday, reminiscing over the Summer holidays and collecting fallen hydrangea petals. If you have children starting or going back to school I hope your week has been ok. And now let's indulge in some garden therapy...

Thanks to all who joined in last week, some faves include: The sunflower photo in Carie's post, the pink fancy roses in the Walled Garden that Gemma visited, the potted plants Sam captured in her visit to Dunham Massey, Katie's basket of homegrown apples and Kriss's creativity it not letting anything go to waste.

Regular joiners-in might already know Southbourne Gardens and Fennel & Fern, they have a website called Garden Grab where you can submit you garden posts to be featured. It's quick, easy and you might find some new readers too #win.

There will be no HDYGG next week as I'm away in New York but it will return on Thursday 17th when *touch wood* I'll be sharing photos from Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.
