I've followed Forde Abbey on Instagram for some time now, coveting a visit. When I spied some photos from the lovely Sabrina from a visit too my desire hit the next level. Luckily I didn't have to long to wait, as we planned a few days away in Somerset, our fourth stay at Somerset Yurts.
As soon as we'd booked this short break, Forde Abbey was first on the list of places I wanted to visit. As an aside I must say that it's testament to how much there is to see and do in Somerset, as it was our 4th stay at the yurts and every time we find a whole new set of places to visit!
One afternoon, Al, the children and I headed along to Forde Abbey and enjoyed the house, gardens and tea rooms (the fruit scones with jam and clotted cream were immense - both in taste and size!)

Forde Abbey is such a stunning location - and the gardens are dreamy. My dahlia lust was well and truly sated!
We all loved exploring the grounds -thoroughly recommend a visit to Forde Abbey and Gardens if you are ever in Somerset!
