Walking in the forest last week it dawned on me that I always seem to post-edit photos from colour to black & white, rather than just shooting in black & white. So in the spirit of trying something different I flipped my Fujifilm XT1000 to 'Black and White film' mode and shot some random moments from our walk.
This has reminded me that this year I really must start using my See the Bigger Picture flashcards, cards with prompts for subject, composition and more.
Once you have developed your own photography style it's so easy to get comfortable, or indeed lazy, and not try new styles. And if there's one thing life has taught me lately it's to put yourself out there and try for something new!
