08. How does your garden grow? (5)
It's my absolute favourite time of the week again - time to take a virtual nose around other peoples gardens to see whats been growing and to hear what plans are afoot. This week I've infiltrated 'er nextdoors garden, you know the one I have been telling you that I have serious wisteria hysteria envy for. Lovely lady that she is, Alex didn't even look at me like I was mad when I asked her if I could pop round to take some photos of her pretty plants - she's either very tactful or used to my random ways... And what a lot of beauty is packed into her garden...
I love that last photo - it's like it's reaching up, grasping at the last few hours of evening sunlight. Ahhh I feel relaxed just writing this post, funny how something so simple can make you feel so happy isn't it?
Our garden is a bit of a disaster at the moment, I've made a decision to do nothing to the back of the house as we'll be having an extension built this time next year and I don't want to plant things only to have to try to dig things up and salvage them again but I'm vowing to make more of an effort this week in the front garden. Buy plants, plant plats, weed and dig over the soil. Those are my jobs and I'm one determined cookie! No veggies will be grown this year though sadly - I'll have to keep poking my head over the fence and looking at Alexs instead!
And so that's it from me this week, not a very word-heavy post from me I'm afraid but I've got a very busy few days ahead, with the Race for Life on Sunday looming in Nottingham meaning some time away. I've been hearing conflicting forecasts weather wise for next week ranging from scorchio to rain but whatever the weather I hope you have a super week. Oh I almost forgot - how's about this for a beeeeeautiful rose?
