Annie October 6, 2016

We made an impromptu visit to Grandad this morning. He's been busy as a large section of the 50 foot Weeping Willow broke off a couple of days ago, luckily no one was hurt, but the bonfire pile is b-i-g. The vegetable patch is starting to thin out now and in the greenhouse onions lay about near the final tomatoes of the year.

The recent wet weather appears to have kickstarted the hydrangeas back into life, with new bloom heads appearing alongside some of their cripsy brown friends. There's something about the garden on a cloudy day that really zings those colours.

Without meaning to sound like an old lady - hasn't it suddenly got cold? The heating has been on chez-Spratt and I sit writing his wearing furry slipper-boots and a woolly cardy (obvs that's not all that I wearing *passes the mind-bleach*). My mind has turned to thermal vests, more t0 the point, shall I buy some. Yup, it's rock n roll life-on-the-edge at it's finest.
