Photos this week come from my mums garden, taken a couple of weekends ago. I would have shared them in last week's HDYGG that Gemma so kindly hosted when I was away at Glastonbury Festival, but when I returned I came down with the lurgy and have been feeling pretty rotten ever since. Still, nothing that some photos of happy gardens won't remedy!
I've huge love for my mum's garden and at the moment the fenced area is in full swing, with everything between knee and waist height - it's a brilliant feeling walking through it all. Anyway, enough of the garden coo-ing, take a gander for yourself...
Below you can see 3 lavender plants - all bought from the same place, all planted at the same time in the same soil, but just look how much better those with deep soil have done!
A final blast of sweet-pea colour from Grandad's garden, a posy given to me to take home by Grandma (my mother-in-law). I've just moved them from the dining table to next to my computer monitor. It just struck me how often I put flowers when I assume they should go, center of the table for example, when I should perhaps be focusing on putting them where I'll most appreciate and enjoy them. Blogging and working in the computer today to the scent of sweet-peas - heavenly.
